MARK ALFIERI

Chief Executive Officer

Mark Alfieri is the Chief Executive Officer and founding member of the company. Prior to forming MORE Residential, Mr. Alfieri served as Chief Executive Officer at Monogram Residential Trust, leading it to a public listing on the NYSE as ticker symbol “MORE” in 2014 and later its sale in 2017, with consideration paid representing a 22% premium over the closing price of its common shares on the last full trading day prior to the public announcement of the sale.


Mr. Alfieri served as the Monogram’s President since 2013, and as its associate's Chief Operating Officer since its inception in 2006. Prior to joining Monogram and its associated companies in 2006, Mr. Alfieri was Senior Vice President of AMLI Residential Properties Trust (“AMLI”), also formerly a NYSE-listed REIT, where he directed investment activities beginning in 1998. During his eight-year tenure at AMLI, Mr. Alfieri consummated multifamily transactions in excess of $2.5 billion. From 2000 to 2006, Mr. Alfieri was a member of CEC, AMLI’s senior executive committee. In February 2006, AMLI merged into an indirect subsidiary of Morgan Stanley Real Estate’s Prime Property Fund, and the consideration paid for AMLI represented a 21% premium over the closing price of its common shares on the last full trading day prior to the public announcement of the merger. From 1991 until 1998, Mr. Alfieri was president and Chief Executive Officer of Revest Group, Inc., a regional full service investment company. Revest was engaged in the acquisition and development of multifamily and commercial properties as a sponsor/general partner on behalf of international and domestic private investors. Mr. Alfieri also was President and Chief Executive Officer of Revest Management Services. Revest Management Services fee managed office, mini-storage and multifamily properties.

Mr. Alfieri graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Texas and served on the Board of Directors of the National Multi Housing Council from 2002 to 2016.  Mr. Alfieri is also a member of the Texas A&M Mays Business School Masters of Real Estate Advisory Board. In 2011, Mr. Alfieri was honored as Executive Of The Year by Multifamily Executive magazine.

ROSS ODLAND

Executive Vice President | Portfolio Management

Ross Odland is the Executive Vice President of Portfolio Management and founding member of the company. Mr. Odland is responsible for developing investment strategies, sourcing, developing and managing the Company’s joint venture partnerships and leading the asset management group.

Prior to forming MORE Residential, Mr. Odland was Senior Vice President of Portfolio Management at Monogram Residential Trust, where he was responsible for investment strategies, managed the company's joint venture relationships and led the portfolio management group. He also served on the REIT’s Investment Committee. From 2000 to 2007, Mr. Odland was Vice President of Portfolio Management at AMLI, also a NYSE listed apartment REIT, where he managed the company’s joint venture relationships and performed portfolio and asset management duties for the company's southwest region. From 1997 to 2000, Mr. Odland was a consultant with Pricewaterhouse Coopers in the Real Estate Advisory Group. In this role, Mr. Odland performed valuation, market research and due diligence activities for publicly traded REITS and institutional real estate funds.

 

Mr. Odland holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a member of the CFA Society of Dallas-Fort Worth and a member of the Pension Real Estate Advisory Association.

JAMES J. MCGINLEY III

Executive Vice President | Development & Capital Markets

Jim McGinley serves as the Executive Vice President of Development & Capital Markets and is a founding member of MORE Residential. Mr. McGinley is responsible for overseeing the firm’s development investments and sourcing and managing the firm’s capital markets activities. He has over 30 years of lending, financing, development and real estate investment experience.


Prior to forming MORE Residential, Mr. McGinley was Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer of Monogram Residential Trust, a NYSE listed apartment REIT, where his responsibilities included overseeing and managing all new multifamily development projects throughout the United States, as well as leading the teams responsible for investments and project finance.  In addition, he served on the firm’s Investment Committee and Benefits Committee. Mr. McGinley previously held several positions with Archstone, also a NYSE listed apartment REIT, including directing both capital markets and joint venture investments nationally. In addition, he served as a Development Partner for Phoenix Property Company, focusing on infill apartment and mixed-use developments. Mr. McGinley also worked with JPI where he held several positions in development and finance. Mr. McGinley began his career with the predecessor of Bank of America.

Mr. McGinley holds an MBA in finance from the University of Notre Dame and a BBA in both finance and real estate from Southern Methodist University. He is a full member of ULI, serving on both the Multifamily Council (Blue flight) and the ULI North Texas Multifamily Council. He is also an active member of the National Multi Housing Council (board of directors) and The Real Estate Council.

ROBERT R. HODGE

Senior Vice President | Investments

Rob Hodge is the Senior Vice President of Investments and founding member of the company. Mr. Hodge is responsible for the sourcing and closing of Company investments.

 

Prior to forming MORE Residential, Mr. Hodge was responsible for sourcing and closing investments and led the firm’s acquisition and disposition efforts nationally for Monogram Residential Trust, where Mr. Hodge worked from 2006 to 2017.  While with Monogram Residential Trust, Mr. Hodge was responsible for transactions in excess of $3 billion.

 

Prior to working for Monogram, Mr. Hodge served as lead financial analyst for a national development firm. Mr. Hodge holds a MBA in Finance from St. Edwards University and a BA in History and Political Science from Williams College. While at Williams College, Mr. Hodge was a four year letterman on the Varsity Hockey Team and recipient of the McCormick Award for Leadership. Mr. Hodge is a member of ULI and NMHC.
